Last card for May

Where did May go???  I swear it just flew by!  My first week of Summer vacation and I've still been crazy busy.  Lol, isn't that how it always goes?  Today I need to go in and clean out our classroom, as we'll be in a different one next school year.

Anywho, here's one last card for May!  I used this digi from DtsArts a few weeks ago for a PTT challenge.  I made another one to send to a friend in Turkey.  Instead of an Easter card, I sent her this one because it takes weeks for mail to get to her.

Digi by DtsArts.  Inked with Copics.  Cardstock and ribbon by SU.  Computer generated sentiment.  The paper is some scrap that I had.  Don't know who the original maker is.

Entering this in the following challenges:
Love to Create: Add a sentiment
Crafty Sentiments: Anything goes

'Till next time!

Guest Designing for Die Cuttin' Divas!

I'm guest designing this week for Die Cuttin' Divas! :) The challenge this week is anything goes.  When was the last time I used my Cricut?!  Lol, I've been on a Copic marker/Spellbinders die kick.  Here's my card:

I used the B is for Boy Cricut Lite cartridge.  Inked up some of the edges to make it look dirty.  Cardstock, paper, stamps, and ink are all SU.  Made this for an uncle who recently lost his job. :(

Entering this in the following challenges:
CAS-ual Fridays: Masculine with DSP

Can't wait to see what you guys create! :D

New Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays

There's a new challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays! This week it's everyone's favorite: ANYTHING GOES!!!

Here's my card made with a Crafty Sentiments image (our sponsor):

Inked her up with Copics.  Cut her out with some Spellbinders dies (also embossed them).  Used the Martha Stewart school stack for the paper.  Crumb Cake cardstock, seam binding ribbon, pearls, ink, and stamp by Stampin Up!

LOVE this seam binding ribbon by SU!  You can use it flat (like my baby boy card I posted yesterday) or get it wet and make crinkled ribbon.  Check out my new page at the top labeled "Stampin Up product shares" if you wanna check it out. :D

Entering this in the following challenges:
Crafting When We Can - Fashion and Pearls
IDIC - Birthday with Sentiment

Can't wait to see what you guys create!

Last Day Guest Designing with Craft Your Passion :(

Today is my last week guest designing with CYP.  :*( Before this month I entered just about every challenge, weekly.  I was very honored when I was picked to be May's guest designer.  I guess this means I can go back to entering weekly challenges! LOL!

This week's theme is for a baby with optional stitching.  I have a craft sewing machine, but I can't figure out how to use it for the life of me (last time I sewed something was in home economics in the 7th grade!).  So I made do with faux stitching. :)

Image by Pattie's Creations.  Inked it up with Copics.  Used some Spellbinders dies and Impression Obsession stamp.  Paper, cardstock, and seam binding ribbon is by SU.  (LOVE this ribbon!  I'm planning on doing a ribbon share with this one!)

Entering this into the following challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Red, white, and blue
DL Art - Anything Goes
Moving Along With the Times - Celebrate, but no birthday

Can't wait to see what you guys create!

Last day of school treats

Yesterday was the last day of school!  I wanted to sent my 6th graders off with a small treat.  My friend (who is an after school advisor), came up with a similar concept for her high schoolers.  :) I decided to scraplift her idea (thanks, Tehani!)

Just some Swedish fish in a bag and a quick printed topper.  If I had more time I would've added a hand crafted element, but these did the trick (they only tear it open right away, anyway!)

'Till next time!

Craft Your Passion Challenges - Sketch

Hooray, I think I finally kicked my cold!  Just in time to get back into the grind... the last week of school for my 6th graders!  We've planned all sorts of stuff this week... a field trip to the bowling alley, a lunch banquet/dance at a hotel, a class party, and of course, the graduation ceremony!  Hopefully I'm still alive at the end of this week!

Today marks the 3rd week I am guest designing for Craft Your Passion Challenges! :) This week we have a sketch:

Cute huh?

Here's my take:
The digi is called DaisyDays and is by Robin's Fetish.  Inked her up with Copics.  All cardstock, ribbon, and buttons are SU.  The stamp is a Studio G clear stamp and the happy anniversary is from a Impression Obsession mix and match sentiment set (LOVE it!).  Paper is by The Paper Studio. Also ran the background cardstock through my Cuttlebug.

Entering this into the following challenges:

Die Cuttin Divas - flowers
Crafty Sentiments - Bingo (did the patterened paper, colored image, and punches/die cuts)
Crafting for all Seasons - Celebrations with flowers
Robin's Fetish IDIC - Anything Goes

Can't wait to see what you guys create! :) 'Till next time!

May RAKs and Winner of the Mother's Day hop!

Whew!  This past week was not only busy, busy, busy, but I also caught a cold.  Yikes!  I still managed to make it to work this week, but ended up trying to sleep off my ickiness the rest of the time.  Can you believe I didn't make anything crafty in about a week and a half?! My fingers are getting itchy!

Anywho, here are some RAKs I received this month. :) I got a lot of happy mail for my blogaversary!  Love these ladies!

This one is from Shar from My Time to Create.  She used her new Cameo!

She made this cute envelope too... and it had HELLO KITTY STAMPS IN IT!!!  wheee! Thanks girl!

This one is from Diana of DL.Art.  Love the shabby chic colors and that yummy twine.

This one is from Shirl of Creations by Shirl.   Always love getting her cards in the mail.  This chickadee is too cute!

This one is from Susan of Cricut and Grasshopper.  Love the fold of this card! Plus she sent me a bunch of yummies from Minnesota.  I ate them all so no pictures of them.  LOL.

Lori from Reflections from Granny made this cutie card. It had so much dimension!

And this was in her package too!!!  How insanely cute is this?! :) I didn't even realize my name was in the middle! It's now up in my craft room. :) Thanks girlie!

And last, but not least, is this calendar made by Cyndi of Strawberries n' Cream. Love my starlet self! :) She even sent me a few mini calendars for me to play with. :D

I'm so blessed to call these ladies friends.  They are so generous and SO talented.  Thank you again for being a part of my blogaversary. :)

And without further ado, the winner from last weekend's Mother's Day blog hop:

#14 FAITH, HOPE, AND CHERRY TEA!!!

Congratulations! I've sent you a message!

Here's a simple Mother's Day card I made using some beautiful Stampin Up paper.  I wanted it to be the main focal point, so I kept the rest of the card simple.  A couple of framelit dies, some SU ribbon, and a dollar store stamp.  Easy peasy!  Made a dozen of these in one afternoon so I could sent it to my family on the mainland.

Teacher's Appreciation - Day 4

Today's small gift to the co-workers was a pack of Trident gum:

Just did a simple wrap around the gum.  Just cut the paper to size, wrap, and adhere with something strong.  I used Sticky Strip.

A ribbon, a computer generated corny pun, and some Stampin Up punches finished it off.  Easy!

Tomorrow is the last of the teacher's gifts! Don't forget to thank a teacher this week!  And stay tuned this weekend for:

See you there/here!

Teacher's Appreciation Week Day 3

It's crunch time at the school I work at...final projects, grades, graduation ceremonies, and end-of-year parties.  Quite frankly, the last couple of weeks (and the weeks to follow!) have been uber stressful on my co-workers.  I decided to show that I appreciate them by giving them a present every day this week for teacher's appreciation week.  On Monday I gave them their folder/stationery holders that I made last month (that post can be seen here).  On Tuesday I gave them each a pack of stickers (Lightning McQueen, Hello Kitty, and My Little Pony!) to cheer them up.  Today I gave them some hand sanitizers:

I used the tutorial from Rubber Red Neck Crafter on YouTube.  It's a great tutorial because not only does it hold B&BW hand sanitizers, but it fits the Victoria Secret ones too, which is what I used.  All the materials I used were scraps from previous projects (my scrap pile is getting too big!!!)

Here's a close up of one so you can see the sentiment I used: "You're a scent-sational teacher." LOL.

A side view.  I'm sure this holder can fit all kinds of different sized bottles!  Little lotions, lip balm, and sunscreen come to mind.

Entering this into the following challenges:
Outlawz - Boxed in

I'll come back tomorrow with what I gave them for day 4! 'Till then!

May Guest Designer for Craft Your Passion Challenges - Torn/Distressed

Hey guys!  I'm guest designing for the entire month of May at Craft Your Passion Challenges!  Woohoo! I've been playing almost every week at Craft Your Passion, and I'm so honored that I get to play with the design team this month!

This week, the challenge is torn or distressed.  Here's my card:

Her name is Cirque and she is from The Paper Shelter.  I inked her up with Copics.  I ran my Tim Holtz distress tool all over the edges of the layers, then sponged on some brown ink.  Background paper is a mish mash of SU and DCWV.  Sentiment, punches, ink, and ribbon are all SU.

Isn't she soooo stinkin adorable?!  LOVE her! And she was tons of fun to color.

Entering this card into the following challenges:
AUD Sentiments - Anything

The Stamp Man - Favorite Technique (distressing)

I thought he was sooo cool!  Inked him up with Copics.  Cut him out with my SU framelits dies.  All the card stock and ribbon was loose scraps.  I used SU punches for the leaves and the sentiment.  I just hand-wrote "Hoppy Blogaversary!"

I tried to get a close up of the texture I tried putting on him.  I used the blender pen to make him look bumpy.  There's a lot of dimension and texture on this card!  The frog, the dot embossing, the textured card stock, and the grosgrain ribbon.
